The Barber pole has several generations of old … more Antique 1800’s Wood Barber Pole from Augusta County, outside of Stauton, VA. The Barber pole has several generations of old paint. This is an original piece of Folk Art, Trade Sign Art, and a significant part of American History. It is in Untouched Condition as it was rescued from the front porch of the village building fifty years ago. The Baluster Carved Pole is from a Solid Piece of Wood. There is fading, chipping and weathering from years of outdoor exposure, lending itself to a wonderful aged look. The large pole measures approximately 78” x 8” x 7”. The backside is flat where it was secured to the wall. Please see photos for condition and details. less
