After establishing Nessen Studios in New York, he designed many lamps for architects of the period. He became very known for his floor and table lamps. He also designed for Chase in the 1930s. This pair of Bookends is a result of that collaboration. The design is very streamline emulating the Art Deco skyscrapers that were being erected at that time. They are brass with a bronze nickel finish and a blackened finish. They look very chrome in the photos, but in fact have more of a brass patina with black. They are in excellent vintage condition with some surface wear, scratches and patina. They measure 5 3/4″ high x 4 1/4″ wide x 2 3/4″ deep less
