The inside looks good, as … more This piece is in very good overall condition, with relatively little wear to be found. The inside looks good, as does the outside and the base. Although the sink is virtually rust free, there are some light marks in the bottom of the bowl from metal pieces that sat in it for years. It was scrubbed with Comet and most of it, but not all, was removed. Aside from some shallow hairline cracks in the porcelain that have the appearance of scratches, the interior is very nice. There is normal wear to the bottom, and the sides are excellent. Normally we measure and point out dings that were found, but in this case amazingly there were none to be found. The top edges have some small chips that do not stand out, and the rest is very good. The only corrosion was on the outside of the sink. It was a light surface layer that was sanded and then painted to clean up the appearance. The darker colored parts of the mounting bracket were lightly rusted as well, so they were cleaned up with a wire brush and repainted along with the rest of the base. There is a clever design that attaches the bracket/base to the sink, and it requires two cotter pins, screws or metal rods that are not present. Most anything strong will do, and the size does not need to be exact, as they go through the holes and then pressure is applied by turning the screws. The base can also be installed so that an end is facing front, and there are tabs on the bottom for other mounting options. Overall, this piece is in fine condition for its 75 years, functions properly and looks very good from all angles.
